I Think of You

I walk on the beach and think of you.
I see the sunset and think of you.
I watch the waves and think of you.

I lie at night and wonder…
Do you think of me
when the waves splash
and the sun sets into the ocean,
when the world slows down just a bit?

Will you think of me
like how I think of you?

And when the night stretches quiet and wide,
and the stars scatter across the sky—
I still think of you.

In the spaces between each heartbeat,
in the hush between each wave,
your name lingers
like something the ocean refuses to let go.

I wonder if somewhere,
under the same sky,
you pause for a second—
for no reason you can explain—
and feel me there.

Because I'm here,
still by the water,
still caught in every little moment
that somehow leads back to you.

And maybe... just maybe,
in the slowing of the world,
in the quiet you don't notice—
I exist in your thoughts, too.
