📺 Channel 13 Blog Update #2

August 7, 2026

Hey Teacups,

Today was one of those days that just felt really exhausting.

I didn't get much sleep last night, and I had to wake up early because I had to meet my homeroom teacher for virtual school. I was already so tired that I managed to fall back asleep for a little while, but then my dad woke me up because it was time for the call. I wasn't really in the mood to talk to anyone, so it was a little difficult, but I got through it.

The rest of the day wasn't much better. There was a lot of arguing going on at home, and it made everything feel heavier than it already did. Even though we got to see the new Spider-Man movie, which I thought was really good, the arguing continued afterward.

I also wanted to go to Ross to look for some Spider-Man merch, but we ended up going to two Dollar Trees instead because that was what my mom wanted to do. I know it wasn't a huge deal, but it still made me feel like what I wanted wasn't really heard.

By the time we got home, I just wasn't having a great day. I ended up watching a little bit of Jonas, and honestly, it made me feel a lot better. It's one of those shows that always brings me some comfort when I need it.

Now it's getting late, and I know I have another early morning tomorrow for school. On top of that, we still have a lot to get ready for my dad's birthday, so I probably won't be getting much sleep tonight either.

I'm hoping tomorrow is a little kinder than today was. Not every day is perfect, and I guess that's okay. Sometimes all you can do is take it one day at a time and hope tomorrow brings something better.

Thanks for stopping by Channel 13. I'll see you in the next update. 💜

Channel 13 Blog Update #3

August 10, 2026

Honestly, today was not a very good day, and I really don't want to go to school tomorrow. I've been feeling so tired and overwhelmed lately, and the thought of having to wake up, get ready, and go through another school day just sounds exhausting. Today already felt like one of those days where everything was harder than it needed to be, and I just wanted to stay home and have some time to myself instead of having to worry about school and everything else going on. I know I still have to go and I know school is important, but that doesn't mean I have to be excited about it. Sometimes I just really wish I could have a day where I didn't have to worry about schedules, assignments, talking to people, or constantly thinking about what I have to do next. I think part of why I'm feeling this way is because I've been so tired, and when you're already exhausted, even normal things can feel like they're ten times harder. I just want to be able to relax, watch something I enjoy, listen to music, work on my website, and forget about everything for a little while. I know tomorrow might not be as bad as I'm expecting it to be, but right now I really don't want to go. I'm trying to remind myself that I don't have to love every day, and having a bad day doesn't mean tomorrow will automatically be bad too. Hopefully I can get through school tomorrow, come home, and have some time to do things that actually make me happy. For now, I'm just hoping tomorrow is a little easier than today was, because honestly, I could really use a better day.

Thanks for reading another little Channel 13 update. Hopefully the next one will be a happier one. Until then, I'm just taking things one day at a time.

Channel 13 Blog Update #4

August 17, 2026

Lately, I've been having a really hard time with a lot of things, and honestly, things haven't really gotten better. One of the biggest things on my mind right now is writing. I really want to publish books someday, and I've always loved creating stories, characters, and entire worlds in my head, but lately I've been questioning whether I'm actually good enough to do it. Sometimes I read my own writing and start thinking that maybe nobody would want to read it, or that maybe my ideas aren't as good as I think they are. I know that writers aren't supposed to be perfect, and everyone has to start somewhere, but it's still scary to put something you created out into the world and let other people judge it.

I really want to be a published author, but part of me is starting to feel like giving up because I'm scared that I'll try my hardest and it still won't be enough. I don't want fear to be the reason I never finish the stories I care about, though. I think sometimes I forget that being a good writer doesn't mean every sentence I write has to be perfect. Writing is something you learn by doing, and I'm still learning. I don't have to have everything figured out right now, and I don't have to become a published author overnight. I can just keep writing, keep practicing, and keep working on the stories that mean something to me.

Another thing that's been making me really worried is my friend. She hasn't talked to me for three whole days, which is really unusual for us, and I'm honestly scared because this isn't normal. She also left our location circle, and seeing that made me start wondering if something happened or if she's upset with me. I don't know what's going on, and I don't want to assume the worst when I don't actually know the reason. Still, it's hard not to worry when someone you're used to hearing from suddenly becomes quiet.

I really hope she's okay. I also hope that if something is wrong between us, she'll eventually be able to tell me so we can talk about it instead of me sitting here wondering what happened. Right now, all I can really do is give her some space while hoping that she's safe and okay. I may reach out and check in because I care about her, but I also know that I can't control when someone is ready to talk.

Between worrying about my friend and doubting myself as a writer, I've just been feeling really discouraged lately. I think I need to remind myself that a bad period of time doesn't mean everything will stay bad forever. Maybe my writing isn't perfect yet. Maybe I'm still figuring out what kind of author I want to become. Maybe some of my stories will need to be rewritten a hundred times before they're ready. That's okay.

I would rather keep learning than give up on something I genuinely love because I'm afraid I won't be good enough. I don't know what the next few days are going to look like, and I don't know when things will feel normal again, but I want to keep trying. I want to keep writing. I want to keep dreaming about publishing a book someday. And most importantly, I want to remember that I don't have to have everything figured out right now. Maybe this isn't the end of the story. Maybe it's just another chapter.

Thanks for reading another Channel 13 update. If you're going through a difficult time too, I hope things get a little easier for you soon. And if my friend ever happens to read this, I just hope she knows that I care about her and I hope she's okay. Hopefully the next update will have some happier things to talk about.
